We flew down to Brazil (a few weeks ago?  Last week?  I’m still taking melatonin at night and lacing my days with black tea.  Totally doctor-recommended.) to photograph Jay and Pri’s wedding festivities, and this duo welcomed us into every part of their weekend.

To wit:

  • We were half of the Bachelor Fest attendees.  (I didn’t have much success with the language, but I think I picked up that Caipirinha is Portuguese for “Hangover.”)
  • Jay’s buddy Tiago shared his story of a very “horny” driver: “and he is honk, honk, honk, honk on his horn.”
  • Matt taught the kids how to play “HORSE” on the basketball court, and they let him win.  Then Best Man/Rickyboy/He-chie/Rich let Matt borrow some shorts to wear in the pool.
  • Pri’s dad filled our bellies with popsicles in every flavor from goiaba to cheese.  Goiaba obviously being “sugar fruit.”

I might be better at Portuguese than we originally thought.

Getting away from the cold in Minneapolis into a place where it is summer was such a treat.  You may recognize that positively edible southern hemisphere glow.  Speaking of which, let’s get started:

We wish you such happiness in your life together, you two.

Ricardo for letting us be there at the beginning.

Awesome.

I realize coals are supposed to be hot — but you made them look just molten! I also just really dig on the overally feel of the right shot in JayPriWeb037.JPG …
