Jack is going to be a senior this year, Caroline is not, but will be someday. We are just on the brink of portrait-mania as we have – no joke – 40 sessions in the next month. That’s a lot for Matt Blum Photography. Perhaps Matt Blum Photography needs to spend less time on blog posts. That’s probably not going to happen though. Matt Blum Photography out.

Meet the Kamps

July 29th, 2008

This wonderful family and I spent a couple hours together making photographs. They were super fun, and we found a bunch of cool spots to shoot.

The guy in the black and white photo (that isn’t actually part of their family) referred the Kamp family to me.   (Maybe he will be.  No pressure.  Who said that?)  He and I worked on his senior portraits a couple years ago, and he happens to be dating Maddie, one of the Kamp girls with whom he is pictured!

Matt Blum Photography is now offering wedding coverage in the form of portrait stations.  Directed by professional human photographers.  How does that work?  Like magic.  We photograph, process, and print them while your guests wait.

These images are from a recent wedding portrait station, complete with onsite printing. Stand. Smile. Click. 8 seconds later–BOOM!–a black and white keepsake photo for your grandbabies (if you can remember where you put your purse). Here are the highlights:

My number one of all time. These two salty lovebirds were not afraid to make some serious statement poses. Exhibit A:

The award for the most awesomest 4 minute ceremony ever goes to… Jessica + Matt, the first people I’ve ever photographed in the pouring rain. It was fine all day but then, just as the ceremony was about to begin, the skies opened up and that was that. To dry off we stopped by the studio and used the hand dryers. It was an amazing wedding.

I almost forgot…  Matt is a musician and he sang this song for Jessica.  I got a little teary even.  Please enjoy this beautiful song while looking through these images.

Hi Matt. You don’t know me but I know you, or your work at least – amazing. I work at Five, where this reception was held, and these are by far my favorite wedding photos. I hope you come and work here again!

Matt-

You have a great photographic style!! LOVE the pictures of the wedding so far. Can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures. Matt & Jessica made a fine choice in selecting their wedding photographer!!! They have a great eye for talent. And speaking about talent …Matt’s music really sets the tone for your photos. What a match!!!
