Maggie | Senior Portraits

This girl does everything well.  She’s an athlete, a scholar, a student leader.  She probably recycles and helps her sister with homework and makes her bed without being asked.  She’s the kind of girl you’d hate, if she weren’t so totally likeable.

Maggie, I love these! I agree with Kelly that the black and whites plus the red sweater pics are my favorite, but I also love the first one

Alright Maggie!!! Looking beautiful, of course–love the one of you smiling in the corn, love the black and whites, and the red sweaters pics are amazing! I mean, really, they’re all amazing. :) Matt and Katy, you two are such talented artists. So fun to see your photography, especially of my fantastic cousin!

As we arrived at our intended shoot location, I realized that the place I had in my mind had been torn down. But being the eternally optimistic person that she is, Molly said something to the effect of, “Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned!!!” Clearly she is a woman wise beyond her teenage years.

Joe’s good people from a great family. His sister Pagie, whose grad party photobooth you may remember, visited us a couple year ago. Oh, how time flies.

Sam is a part-time model, full-time sweetheart.  She also has some familial connection to the people behind this stuff.  Our shoot was great for two things:

1. Sweating in the incredibly powerful midday sun.  (Don’t change in the car unless you want to die of heat exhaustion.)

2. Testing the water solubility of latex paint.  (Washed off, but didn’t taste great.)

Elsa had the distinction of having her senior shoot on the windiest day of the year.  Our giant umbrella turned itself inside out.  I was all MARY POPPINS UP IN HERRRRRRRE.  Thank goodness for the Walker and their gorgeous new cafe space.  (Thank goodness, too, for Elsa’s very calm and collected self.)
